We have decades of experience meeting the stringent regulations and certifications for the automotive, aerospace and medical device industries, which serve as benchmarks for all of the products we manufacture.

Plastic Injection Molding

Our in-house tooling department builds both rapid prototypes and custom final production molds with a lifetime guarantee. Choose the plastic to suit your needs from over 100 different thermoplastic resins. Partner with an experienced team working in the present-day knowledge-hub of global manufacturing.
Check our molding guidelines to see if your design falls within standard design parameters. Contact us to explore.

Choose between rapid prototyping (up to 1000 shots per mold) and our injection molding manufacturing service (unlimited shots per mold*)— to meet your project needs. We’ll recommend a suitable grade tool for long term production molds and typically guarantee it for the life of the product/part by replacing the tool, free of charge, if extremely high production quantity makes it necessary. Rapid prototyping enables you to test and understand your part or product better before moving to production. *Contact us for production life specifics on your part or product.

What is Plastic Injection Molding used for ?

If you pay specific attention to the plastic parts that pass in front of your eyes on an average day, you’re likely to notice a wide range of items made from injection molding, such as: phone cases, shampoo and cosmetic containers and remote controls. You might also notice the plastic parts or components within other products, such as desk lamps or your car. In short, plastic injection moulding is a ubiquitous modern day manufacturing methodology used to help make a wide range of everyday products.

Why Choose Plastic Injection Molding ?

Injection molding is a reliable manufacturing process that is able to rapidly reproduce parts or products to meet market demand. On-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) tooling machines cut molds in short time frames to precisely match 3D CAD designs, moving you quickly from design to production. In addition, HCBluestone offer a number of supplementary services to support your project, including quality control, product assembly and packaging.

What is Plastic Injection Molding ?

Thermosetting / thermoplastic polymer pellets are mixed with color powder, melted and then injected into a mould cavity, which fills. The plastic then cools in the mold and solidifies to produce the desired part or product.

How Does Plastic Injection Molding Work ?

The pellets are funnelled into a chamber where they are melted, compressed, and injected into the system. Molten resin passes into the mold through gates, where it cools to form the molded part. Ejector pins then enable easy removal of the plastic part from the mold. Once the part or product is ejected it is inspected against the master sample, before being boxed toward the assembly or packaging department.
